OUR BELIEFS
Pleasant Grove is a rural, conservative Southern Baptist Church. We are affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and locally with the South Yadkin Baptist Association. We believe the doctrinal statements found in the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. You can access the full statement here.
OUR HISTORY
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church was established in 1900 as a result of a revival in Stony Point. There were twenty-one charter members and the first church building was completed in 1904. The present building was finished in August 1950 and additional building projects were completed in the years that followed.
Pleasant Grove has a rich history in the Stony Point community. For over a century, our members have faithfully served God and the community and God has richly blessed the church.
WHAT WE DO
Our focus at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church is on creating meaningful worship experiences and providing opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship. We meet on Sunday mornings for a time of worship, fellowship and expositional preaching. Our Sunday evening services are geared more toward Bible study and our Wednesday evening services focus on Bible study and prayer. Our goal is that people would know more about God - who He is and what He has done for us! We are dedicated to living out the teachings of Jesus Christ by serving others with compassion and humility.
